Brand New Awakening is what I consider my first proper album. It's the first part of the story told between it post-Future, a story I had been trying to tell since I think late 2022. The albums production started in such an out-of-nowhere way, it almost feels like it shouldn't have happened, it was made somewhat in the wake of my transgender awakening (which seems to be lost on a lot of people, I felt the title was pretty on the nose lol), the album is somewhat about just that, entering a new, unfamiliar, but significantly more comfortable life. I feel like a lot of the album is sort of musical rumination through the production and composition, which I think is exactly why it kind of forced me out of the creative slump I was in. Having so many more thoughts, so much more energy to put into an album, an album I had wanted to make for years, but only now could, I think that's what dragged me out of the burnout, and what effectively pushed my skills further in an incredibly special way. I'm honestly not completely sure I'd still be making music without this album, I'm so happy to have shared it.
